Harris's hawks again spent the winter of 2009-2010 at the Sibley Nature Center. Almost everyday, visitors could find the Harris's hawks catching ducks, rabbits, and mice and then perching on the electric line poles. These birds normally nest far from human habitation, and return to hunt the rabbits at Sibley in the winter when the population builds up (every three to four years).
